The following list are required items for reed making.

• Cane - Any brand (Keep at least 20 pieces of gouged cane and 1/2 lb of tube cane on hand at any time.)
• Knives - Chiarugi Razor Knife AND Landwell Double Hollow Ground (any hardness)
• Utility Knife
• Ceramic Croc Sticks - Lansky Turnbox Knife Sharpener
• Sharpening Stone - DMT red/green diamond stone, 8"x4"
• Razor Blades - GEM Coated Razor Blades
• Plaques - 2 Flat Plaques with Rounded Ends
• Cutting Block - Pisoni Short or Tall Cutting Block
• Staples - 20 Chiarugi 2+, Brass, 47mm Oboe Staples
• Mandrel - Chiarugi 2+ Oboe Mandrel
• Thread - FF Nylon Thread
• Beeswax
• Ruler - Hodge Steel 6-inch/metric
• C-clamp
• Dial Indicator with Tongue - your choice
