Gouged Cane
for Oboe Reeds
Most brands of cane are individually gouged by Hodge Products on a Hodge gouging machine (made by Reeds 'n Stuff) at approximately .60mm in the center and .45mm on the sides. Exception: Le Roseaux Chantant cane is gouged at their shop at the gouges specified in each product's description.
