This newly revised machine is equipped with all the features to enable a setup tailored to your personal desires. The many individually modifiable variables allow you to pre-shape the tip of your reeds with the profiling machine. The two-part ramp plays an important role in this, allowing an individual incline and an adjustable starting point for the tip, if desired. Additionally, you can choose between different barrels, customizing the profile even further. These and many more smart details turn working with this profiling machine into a whole new experience. The profiling machine is suitable for gouged & shaped cane as well only gouged cane, and can be converted for contra bassoon cane.

Barrel Options

By choosing the barrel that best suits your needs, you can define the profile of your profiled cane. You can choose between an eccentric or concentric profile. The eccentric barrel will give you thinner sides of the cane than the concentric barrel.

In addition to their standard eccentric barrel there are three other eccentric variants, each with a more defined spine in the middle of the blade. The concentric version of the S+ has recently been added.

• Spine + is 0.26mm thicker at the spine than the standard eccentric barrel
• Spine ++ is 0.48mm thicker at the spine than the standard eccentric barrel
• Spine +++ is 0.55mm thicker at the spine than the standard eccentric barrel
