The shaft is specially made with an oval opening and smooth inner surfaces. With the pliers’ slender tips, you’ll be able to find the perfect position between the second and third wires. The hardened cutting surfaces are made according to DIN ISO 5746 standards to be particularly robust. The specially formed grip surfaces make it easy to grasp and twist wire. The high-quality workmanship and design allow you to grip even materials like thread.
Our pliers feature a box joint, meaning that one handle is guided through the other on both sides. This ensures that the cutting edges will remain precisely aligned even after years of use.

Very disapointed in ReeDs'N'Stuff
I am a big fan of Reeds'n'Stuff products, in particular the high quality and precision of their reed making machinery and knives. However, I am very disappointed with their reed making pliers. I like that they have a spring mechanism, but they are very uncomfortable to use, putting a strange pressure on the palm of your hand, and seem to be in capable of gripping and pulling wires. They slip constantly which often results in damaging the reed blank. Zero stars if I could. Until they can fix this issue I can not recommend anyone purchase these. I am returning mine and buying a pair of Rieger pliers.
