Tongue Options for Oboe Profiling Machine by Reeds 'n Stuff

Although the oboe profiling machine comes with the A-2, there may be situations where you might like to try a different sized tongue to get different results.

The "D" tongue is the standard tongue for the European oboe reed. It is a little wider and has a larger radius than the American tongue (A-2).

The "E" model has a slightly smaller radius than "D" and is not as wide, producing thicker sides on the reeds.

The A-2 model is specifically designed for the American-style oboe reed which is fairly narrow.
