RM Reeds of North America are not mass produced. Few instruments of the extreme register double reeds can be found in the North American Continent, so when making these reeds, no mass production is involved.
The tenoroon reed is slightly smaller than a bassoon reed and they are intended for playing on an F or G tenoroon. Some teachers and literature state that a bassoon reed can be used, but it seems far less comfortable than a reed made for the tenoroon. Would a contrabassoon reed feel right on a bassoon?
