This Reeds 'n Stuff pregouger not only planes the cane with a flat blade but also gouges it out to about .70mm in the middle and .55mm on the sides with a circular blade. This amount of pregouging saves the blade of your gouging machine and also speeds up the gouging process. It only takes a couple of seconds to send a piece of cane through this pregouger. This machine has an 11 mm bed which works for cane varying between 10-11mm.
