47 silver Pisoni deluxe
This staple is the best for me ,with rich tone and nice articulation, very practical :easy to tie a reed due to not a big openning. This is go to staple
Pisoni staples are back to the larger bore, (having been coming out smaller for a couple of years) and are now similar to the Lorée AK staples. Pisoni staples have been found to work well with the certain Adam shaper tips, namely Joshua, Joshua +2, and Joshua +4. They are available in the more economical artist models or the professional deluxe models. The artist model is denoted by horizontal lines etched into the metal. The deluxe model is denoted by diagonal lines etched into the metal. The deluxe model appears to be of a thicker metal. These are available in 47mm and 46mm.

These staples have a nice sound and scale. They are fairly consistent compared to most of what one can find today. The walls are on the thick side, as they appear to be machined rather than punched or extruded, and the inside edges are slightly chamfered to meet well with the cane. For my own needs, I file the tube to 46.5mm from the bottom, which gives a reed that sits comfortably in pitch, at least for a Philadelphia style reed.
