Martin Schuring Oboe Fingering Chart

Martin Schuring, oboe professor at Arizona State University, has put together this helpful fingering chart for the oboe and English horn. It is included in his book "Oboe: Art & Method" in the back Appendices but these are laminated versions that can be carried with you in your music bag or folder. This chart is contained on the front and back of the page and includes Dr. Schuring's comments about the fingerings.

These fingerings presume a professional quality oboe with the full Conservatoire plateau system and semi-automatic octave keys. While many of these fingerings will work on any system, oboes with different systems or student oboes with fewer keys will not be able to use all of the fingerings.
