This mandrel handle is designed for use with the intuitively designed bassoon forming pin by LC Double Reeds.
The handle is a beautiful round blue steel and the tip can be easily removed from the handle by loosening a set screw.

excellent handle!
i suppose this is a small thing to get so excited about, but i have to say that the design of this handle is really excellent. the weight and contour of it is extremely comfortable in my hand - another little piece of the "let's just keep reedmaking days as painless as possible" puzzle! ;)
