Landwell Double Hollow Ground Reed Knives

Landwell Double Hollow Ground Reed Knives are made in three hardnesses of steel, each with different positive and negative attributes.

The hard knife is made with a harder steel. This knife stays sharp a bit longer than the other Landwell knives but the downside is that it also is more effort to sharpen.

The medium knife is made with a medium strength steel. This knife is in between the soft and the hard Landwell knives in its sharpening and dulling attributes. The Landwell Knife Sharpening book recommends an additional step in the sharpening process for this knife.

The soft knife is made with a softer steel. This knife sharpens more quickly and easily than the other Landwell knives but the downside is that it also dulls more quickly and needs sharpening more often, however it is easier to sharpen.

Each Landwell knife comes with an included sheath for protection. They randomly vary in color of leather. Additional sheaths are also available.
