Baroque Oboe Reed with Single Staple
This is a single-staple reed (50mm Hammer Staple) for use in several models of baroque oboes pitched at A=415. Reed well sizes vary; in most oboes, the staple/top of the thread wrapping should protrude 30-32mm above the top of the instrument for best intonation. Add or remove waxed thread to personalize fit as needed. Reeds are tried on an Eichentopf by Sand Dalton and are popular with players of Eichentopf and Denner instruments. Reed maker: Sarah Schilling
