Omega #2 Nylon Thread for Bassoon Reeds, 300 yds
The 100% Nylon Omega thread is a great choice for wrapping bassoon reeds. The thread holds consistently well dry or wet and does not unravel over time. Since the diameter is a little thicker than the FF nylon thread, it stays in place with less tension, allows for more vibration, and covers more area while wrapping. Plus, it comes in a variety of colors! Try wrapping two spools together for even more variety and turbo wrapping!
This thickness does not work for oboe reeds. It comes in 90 colors. We have 18 to choose from here. Feel free to contact us if you would like a specific color and we can see if we can stock it.
