Reeds 'n Stuff Brass Oboe Staples
The Reeds 'n Stuff oboe staple is made by Chiarugi to the specs designed by Reeds 'n Stuff. It is a very high quality staple with the same tip area as a Lorée AK but a much smaller base. The base diameter falls on the small side of average while the Lorée AK is in the large range. A smaller staple base will tend toward a sweet and warm tone, secure and stable, with easier low notes. In comparison to the Lorée AK, it would slightly and increasingly raise the pitch of the lower octave as it goes up while the second octave flattens increasingly from E5 to a significantly flatter C6.
This staple is fairly close to the measurements of the Eterion staples but the wall thickness is not as thin, giving it a darker tone.
