Reed Machines Oboe Gouging Machine Bed Set

The bed set is the holder of the cane. With different bed sets you can use the gouger for different types of oboe cane. It is easy to change a bed set. By moving the bed set to the left or right, the thickness of the gouged cane is adjustable. 

A bed set is made for a specific cane diameter. To get the expected gouged cane dimensions you should not use cane with a diameter that differs more than 0.5mm from the bed set diameter. The bed set diameter is given by the “D” value. 

For the guillotine, there are cutting plates for several cane diameter ranges. If your gouger does not have the right cutting plate for the cane diameter that you want to use, you should buy the right cutting plate.
