Reed Machines Bassoon Guillotine Cutting Plate

The cutting plates are made of a special hardened steel with a fine structure to ensure a long lifetime and a smooth cut. A cutting plate has 2 cutting edges. If the first cutting edge is worn out, you can turn the cutting plate 180° to use the second cutting edge. This makes the lifetime of a cutting plate very long.

There are cutting plates for 2 cane diameter ranges. It is easy to change the cutting plate of a guillotine so, instead of buying  the other guillotine, it is an option to just buy the other cutting plate. If a cutting plate is worn out, or if you want to use a cutting plate for another cane diameter range, you can change it yourself.
