| Other Notes | These reeds feature a longer tip with a smooth transition into the heart. They have a very strong spine and rails which allows these reeds to remain very open and endure more hours of playtime. These reeds have incredible stability and a very warm, covered tone. |
It is important to note that the points above are all relative. As with all of Manhattan reeds, they prioritize a good balance of intonation, tone quality, response, and articulation across all registers. Each professional oboe reed is handmade to order, and undergoes a multi-day finishing process. Additionally, all professional oboe reeds are thoroughly tested by Kevin Qian on a professional Loree Royal oboe set at A=440 and are sanitized before being shipped.
