SPECIFICATIONS
The D’OR Planing Board has been designed to be used with an off-the-shelf Stanley 12-220 Plane which can be found on our website. This is their most popular model and is thus both affordable and easy to find. The planing board is also intended to be used with a DMT Non-Skid Mat. A versatile piece of equipment, any reedmaker would benefit by having this alongside their knife sharpening toolkit.
The planing board and plane combination must transform split cane accurately and reliably into dimensions suitable first for gouging and then for shaping. Through extensive prototyping, the D’OR Planing Board delivers these dimensions with precision.
The Planing Board is 200mm on its longest side. Also included is a short instruction sheet on how to use the tool.
