Rigotti Convex Steel Oboe Plaque
The steel plaque is the hardest metal used for plaques. It is less flexible and doesn't scratch as easily.

Rigotti Convex steel oboe plaque
I am a fan of the convex plaque. I feel that they don't put as much pressure of the reed while scraping. The steel is much harder on the knife than a plastic or wooden plaques, but it lasts longer.
